Vashi Fine Arts Society (Regd.)
(Regn No MAH/230/99/THANE)
A Cultural Association dedicated for Promoting Music, Dance and Drama

  About Us

Vashi Fine Arts Society (VFAS) is a Registered Cultural organization established with the main objective of promoting Fine Arts in the twin city of Mumbai/Navi Mumbai. The aim of Vashi Fine Arts Society is to establish itself as the best and most sought after cultural and community service institution in Navi Mumbai in every respect and membership of the Vashi Fine Arts Society should be considered most prestigious and sought after. And to advance the cause of classical music and the fine arts by organising, conducting, encouraging, assisting, promoting and participating in concerts, dramas, dances, festivals, conferences and exhibitions.

Our mission is to promote and encourage cultural activities in the twin city of Navi Mumbai and foster and develop music, dance, drama and other fine arts and to have its own State of the Art building with an auditorium where the area will be fully utilised for a 500 seat auditorium to promote cultural activities such as Music & Fine Arts and to conduct regular music classes, have a Library and Research Centre, provide accommodation for artistes and have a library of our traditional musical instruments and be a harbinger in promoting Youth & Women's welfare activities. We will be providing excellent teaching staff and instruments to the members as well as non-members and by conducting regular classes, periodical audio-video presentations and make them professionally skilled artistes.
Special mention must be made of the Society's Founder Secretary Late Mrs Revathi Viswanathan who with the able support of the members of the Managing Committee left no stone unturned in furthering the objectives of the Society. And her experience in this field stood in good stead in bringing up the Vashi Fine Arts Society to great heights, all through her life a BUSY BEE , the Society is almost getting equal to other sister cultural institutions in the suburbs. Revathi mami, as she is fondly known as, passed away in October 2009. Her dream was to see that VFAS gets its own building and auditorium

In spite of our playing a leading role in musical, cultural, social activities VFAS doesn`t have an auditorium or a Hall of its own to conduct these activities and ensure optimum benefit to the public. We are conducting all our programs in rented premises and Halls in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. It is in the interest of the public that VFAS should have its own building and auditorium in Navi Mumbai to pursue the cultural activities to the music lovers and general public. It is our earnest desire therefore to have our own premises to conduct our Music and Dance classes. For this purpose we have been actively looking for a suitable place in Vashi or its immediate vicinity for which we need lot of funds.Vacant plots are fast dwindling and hence urgency of funds to secure our own premises which is even now quite unaffordable for us. Nevertheless we should try to secure our own premises as quickly as possible. Hence this drive for enrolment of all categories of membership for our Sabha and to seek your generous contribution to realise our goal. We have been therefore appealing to members, businessmen, industrialists and so on periodically to help us in our fund raising efforts. There has been reasonably good response and assurances but not sufficient enough to get the project started. We need lot more. Anyway, we have approached Authorities to acquire a plot in Vashi and are waiting eagerly for the outcome.

We have some regular patrons who display their banners at VFAS programs, as can be seen in our Photo Gallery, and we invite other corporate, banks and other organizations also to come forward and put up their banners. VFAS also brings out a commemorative Souvenir every year. One can contribute to VFAS by way of getting advertisements for the Souvenir. The advertisement rates and rates for Banner display are given in the attached notification.Click here to download the respective rates.
